Hey everyone! I am looking to transition to product management from a career in non-profit work. I have been poking around various job postings and decided to apply for an APM role since I felt confident I met the description, and that it wasn’t totally out of my depth. I’ve gotten to the next round for the APM role, and am considering if it’s wise to continue. With 10+ years of work experience, is it wise to go for an associate role? It seems like from starting to dive into this community that it’s not impossible to leverage my experience for a more senior position. At the same time, it might not be bad to get my feet wet in a more formal PM role before going for more responsibility. Thoughts?
That’s a great question, thank you for shedding light on this.
@rachael what are your thoughts on this, could you provide some insights on what you think is the best approach?
